He is an economist with a Master’s degree in Industrial Design. He has taught at various universities in Chile and Argentina, and has worked as a researcher at several think tanks, among other experiences in executive positions in the private sector. He leads a startup in the design and 3D printing sector and has written for various academic publications, including LRC, the Mises Institute, and PanAm Post.
Walter E. Block (Honorary Editor)
He is one of the leading figures in contemporary Austrian libertarian thought. He earned his PhD in economics from Columbia University and was a student of the acclaimed economist Murray Rothbard. During his long academic career, he has published more than a dozen books and over five hundred articles in indexed journals. He currently serves as Professor of Economics at Loyola University New Orleans and holds the Harold E. Wirth Chair.
Jesús Huerta de Soto Ballester (Honorary Editor)
He is probably the most prominent economist of the Austrian School in the Spanish-speaking world. He holds a PhD in Law (1984) and a PhD in Economics and Business Administration (1992), both from the Complutense University of Madrid. He also has an MBA from Stanford University. He has served as Professor of Political Economy at the Complutense University of Madrid and as Professor in the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at Rey Juan Carlos University. He is also an Adjunct Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a member of the board of directors of the Mont Pelerin Society, and a co-founder of the Society for the Study of Human Action.
Vernon Lomax Smith (Honorary Editor)
He is a professor of Law and Economics at the Chapman University Institute of Economic Sciences, after teaching for seven years at George Mason University. He is an associate member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Sciences and a Fellow of the Mercatus Center.
He received the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel (commonly known as the Nobel Prize in Economics) in 2002 for introducing experimental laboratory research to economic analysis. He identifies as a libertarian and acknowledges the influence of the works of Mises and Hayek on his extensive academic career.
Marlene Salazar Ramos (Technical Editor)
She is a librarian and archivist, specializing in information systems and records management, with a master’s degree in Records Management and a doctoral candidate in Education in the Knowledge Society at the University of Salamanca. She has worked as a university professor, head librarian, and archival project manager. Currently, she is a leading researcher in foresight (SENA-CGA), and her academic interests include the relationship between information science and economics.
Gilberto Ramírez Espinosa (Academic Editor)
He is a historian from the National University of Colombia and holds a master’s degree in Geography (University of Los Andes). His research areas include historical geography and economic history. He was the Regional Director of Students for Liberty Colombia, led the Austrian School Reading Circle at the University of Los Andes, and organized the First Colombian Congress of Austrian Economics. He has also participated in events related to the Austrian libertarian tradition (Mises University 2018 and the Seventh International Seminar on the Austrian School of Economics). He currently serves as Editorial Director of Unión Editorial Colombia and is a research professor at Sergio Arboleda University.
James Durdan (Associate Editor)
He holds a degree in Economics and International Political Economy from Carthage College. He is also a certified English teacher. He has taught English to students seeking U.S. citizenship and has given courses in Central America and Europe. Through his understanding of economic laws and his advocacy for human liberty, he seeks to contribute to improving global living standards.
