David Chávez Salazar (Editor in Chief)

He is an economist and holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design. He has worked as a professor at different universities in Chile, as well as an internal researcher (Austrian Economics Center), among other experiences in executive positions in the real sector. He has a business in the 3D design and printing sector, and has written for different academic media such as LRC, Mises Institute, PanAm Post, among others.

Walter E. Block (Honorary Editor)

He is one of the most prominent figures of contemporary Austro-Libertarian thought. He earned his PhD in economics from Columbia University and was a disciple of acclaimed economist Murray Rothbard. During his long academic career he has published more than a dozen books and more than five hundred articles in indexed journals. He currently serves as a professor of economics at Loyola University in New Orleans and holds the Harold E. Wirth Chair.

Jesús Huerta de Soto Ballester (Honorary Editor)

He is probably the most prominent economist of the Austrian School in Spanish language. He is a Doctor of Law (1984) and a Doctor of Economics and Business Sciences (1992), both degrees awarded by the Complutense University of Madrid. He also holds an MBA from Stanford University. He has served as Professor of Political Economy at the Complutense University of Madrid, and Professor at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences at the Rey Juan Carlos University. Likewise, he is Adjunct Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, belongs to the management team of the Mont Pelerin Society, and is co-founder of the Society for the Study of Human Action.

Vernon Lomax Smith (Honorary Editor)

He is a professor of law and economics at the Institute of Economic Sciences at Chapman University, after teaching for seven years at George Mason University. He is an associate member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Sciences and a Fellow of the Mercatus Center.

He received the Bank of Sweden Alfred Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (commonly known as the Nobel Prize in Economics) in 2002 for introducing experimental laboratory research to economic analysis. He claims to be a libertarian and acknowledges the influence of the works of Mises and Hayek on his extensive academic career.

Marlene Salazar Ramos (Technical Editor)

She is a librarian and archivist, a specialist in information systems and document management, a master’s degree in Document Management and a doctoral candidate in Training in the Knowledge Society from the University of Salamanca. She has worked as a university professor, head of library and manager of archival projects. Currently, she is a leading foresight researcher (SENA-CGA) and among her academic interests the relationship between information sciences and economics stands out.

Gilberto Ramírez Espinosa (Academic Editor)

He is a historian from the National University of Colombia and holds a Master’s Degree in Geography (University of Los Andes). His research areas include historical geography and economic history. He was Regional Director of “Students for Freedom” Colombia, led the Reading Circle in the Austrian School at the University of Los Andes and was organizer of the I Colombian Congress of Austrian Economics. He has also participated in events related to the Austrolibertarian tradition (Mises University 2018 and VII International Seminar of the Austrian School of Economics). He currently works as Editorial Director of Unión Editorial Colombia and research professor at the Sergio Arboleda University.

James Durdan (Associate Editor)

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and International Political Economy from Carthage College. Likewise, he is a certified English teacher. He has taught this language to students seeking US citizenship and has taught courses in Central America and Europe. Through knowledge of economic laws and the defense of human freedom, he wishes to contribute to improving global living standards.
